Want To Go On An Adventure?
After all that 2020 was, I feel like there's no "normal" or "traditional" for weddings anymore. The things that were once considered "taboo" aren't looked down upon anymore. It's becoming more normal to encourage couples to do whatever kind of wedding they want. Whether they want to put together a huge blowout of a party, an intimate microwedding with a smaller group of loved ones, an elopement with just a few people, or an adventure elopement with me as your witness (which I'm always honored to be by the way).
Ali + Kyle's Microwedding was the 2nd of 6 consecutive wedding weekends I had that I was photographing across 5 different states. The wedding the weekend before was in Berryville, VA and was a beautiful LGBTQ+ Wedding at a historic manor with over 200 guests. Then I hopped on a plane to PDX (Portland, Oregon) to drive 4 hours outside the city and up into the Umatilla National Forest (right outside of Pendleton) to camp and rough it for a couple of days to capture this intimate Microwedding.
The diversity in weddings and chosen celebrations is always so beautiful. No one is "better" than the other, they're all so unique to each couple and that's where I find all of the beauty. In how the couples want to celebrate and how their friends and family come together and celebrate with them.
Alright, now enjoy some of my favorites from Ali + Kyle's Oregon Adventure Microwedding!
