I've Been TRYING To Blog This Wedding For Forever!!
Lily + Bailey first hired me to do their Engagement Session in the Fall of 2022. We were all set to explore Big Sur when they were in the Bay Area visiting family for the holidays but, as it happens, they both got hit with the bug that was going around so naturally we rescheduled.
They made a special trip up a couple weeks later just so we could run all around Big Sur capturing their beautiful love, connection, friendship, relationship.
A few months later, I was stoked when an inquiry hit my inbox: Lily + Bailey wanted me to capture their wedding! I was honored they enjoyed their Engagement Session so much that they wanted to continue allowing me to capture their love story.
We had our consultation, talked about their Wedding Day vision, created a rough draft of their timeline, then these two kept on planning!
They Asked if I Knew A Queer-Friendly Wedding Planner
Lily + Bailey quickly realized that planning a Destination Wedding was a lot of work! So they reached out asking if I knew of any queer-friendly Wedding Planners which, of course I do! I sent them the names of two amazing queer-friendly Wedding Planners that I thought they would vibe with and they ended up deciding on my amazing friend Cedar + Stone Events!

The Most Perfect San Francisco City Hall Wedding
These two...they're just amazing. They're amazing on their own and they're amazing partners to one another. The way the love is so beautiful. They anticipate the needs of one another, they help problem-solve, they're reassuring, kind, caring, sweet, and silly. They know when to make their partner laugh and when to hold them tight, and I got to witness this throughout our entire time working together. Truly beautiful to watch.
Wedding Day came and they started getting ready at the stunning historic Beacon Grand hotel in Union Square, San Francisco. A gorgeous building right in the heart of Union Square boasting stunning architecture, elegant rooms, and a restaurant that has an adorable little library that you can eat in!
After the sweetest First Look and some portraits around the property, it was time to head off to San Francisco City Hall in their vintage Lincoln from California Motorcar. Obviously we took pics along the way because how could we not?!

The Sweetest Celebration for The Sweetest Couple
These two chose their friend Judge Hannah Blumenstiel to marry them in which she gave a beautiful history on LGBTQIA+ rights to marry and how she refused to marry anymore couples until all could be married. Then, in a beautiful ceremony, she wed these two love-bugs and they shared the most excited first kiss and then joined together in the breaking of the glass (where Bailey may have lost her shoe but without skipping a beat, Lily was there to fix it).
The night continued with lots of drinks, eats, and shared laughter. Some of the most heartfelt speeches I've ever heard and so many happy tears.
One of my favorite moments I'll never forget is when Lily + Bailey went to cut the cake and Bailey goes, "Oh no! It's not straight!"
Lily immediately replied, "It's ok neither are we" 😂
We quickly did a round robin group photos moment on the Rotunda (because why waste the opportunity??) and then the night ended with these two and all of their loved ones on the dance floor. Dances with their Fathers turned into the Hora then turned into a full blown partayyy.
To quote Lily, it was "basically the royal wedding"
